Community based Peer Led Intervention (CPLI) for prevention of Drug use by adoloscents under National Action Plan for Drug Demand Reduction (NAPDDR) of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt of India, to make India drug free (Nasha Mukt Bharat) the project was sanctioned on 13-03-2020 and first installment @ 25% of total sanctioned budget was released on 31-03-2020 for Financial Year 2019-20 to be utilized during Financial Year 2020-21. Due to spread of Covid 19, Government imposed Lock down through out the country which resulted in big hurdle in the working of CPLI Project. Inspite of this all The Manav Kalyan Seva Samiti recruited required staff and 20 peer educators to cover the entire district of Shimla and covered 14680 adoloscents in 1468 sessions conducted by the peer educators and proper training and supervision was carried out by two supervisors and trainers along with project coordinators.
